From Elliot's Blog: HERE, THERE, AND BACK AGAIN

Here we are. All the best things in life seem like they will never end. Maybe it’s because you hold on to those things more, or saver the moment because deep in your chest it still feels to good to be true. I’ve learnt more about myself and life in this past month than I ever learned in a classroom or behind a desk. I’m forever grateful to everyones whose helped me get where I am at this very moment. This is the last night of the first run of the Believers Never Die Tour. It’s been awesome to play in Japan, Manilla, Australia, Singapore, and now New Zealand. We’ve stitched ties with Rejects and FOB and though we’ll be seeing FOB again in a week i don’t know when we’ll cross paths with AAR again. Soon I’m sure. Chin up. Surprises at the show tonight. Stay tuned to all those that’ll be here.

I can see my snail, where’s yours!?

iamryanmiller:

Here’s a little preview of the Peace, Love and Snails shirt I’m working on. A bunch of you have been asking to see it. I still have to scan some snails in and add them to the peace sign. I know it’s past the deadline that I set, but I could still use some more snails (to fill in empty spaces) if anyone else wants to submit. I’ve gotten a bunch from a lot of different people, which is really awesome. To those that have already submitted a snail - thank you! Your snail will be on the next Carraway shirt. Please feel free to re-blog this; it would help out a lot. Thanks!

To those of you who are new followers, check out this post and get in on the action:

From Elliot's Blog: EVERYONE HAS, THEY LOVE IT

Today be played Melbourne and I’ve got to be honest, it was one of the craziest and funest shows on this tour to date. You can’t beat amazing fans with good conversations, great catering, and a lot of surprises in everyones set tonight. It was a good time. Speaking of surprises. Most of you know I’ve been a fan of the boy below Corey Worthington ever since his interview hit youtube last year. We quote him all the time on this tour and FOB was able to get him to come out and hang with all of us tonight. It was insane, check out the original clip here and if you don’t know who Corey is then this is a must, he’ll quickly become your most clicked bookmark.

From Elliot's Blog: PLANE AND SIMPLE GUNNA BE THERE

One of my favorite things in life is things you see and appreciate but can’t touch. This doesn’t happen a whole when traveling in the south but right now all the countries we’ve been this month have been right next to the equator so when i see things like the frost build up around the window it makes me smile and ask why. Probably because even with the little things i accept that there’s so much in this world i still don’t to understand. Like fingers prints. I get it, but at the same time i really don’t. Things like that blow my mind.
Recently I’ve been seeing things in a sudden change of perspective, I’m not just going on more about everything above, I’m talking about the way i run my whole and interact with others. There’s a few key people that play huge roles in my life and you are the ones that have shaped me and made me everything i am and everything i want to be. As for that other slice, you are the people i meet at random everyday. As if by some fait or destiny i was trained to have a conversation with you. To the fans we met in the mall yesterday, you’re both amazing people with great jobs but your fire inside to do more with your lives if just that first part of motivation, which is a lot more then many even have. Hold on to it. Thank you. The guy in the cab in Singapore that saved my ass when i need to get back to the venue, no i don’t believe in everything you were saying. I’m a strong person in my religious beliefs but i don’t need you to slaughter me with words and questions in a 15 minute ride that makes me wanting to hate myself on the other side. Or do i? On the other hand you made my mind think in a new way and brought me to question things i wouldn’t normally question. Thank you also. Man from the breakfast buffet. I should have gotten your name, i wish i did. There need to be more people like you. The ones that make us all feel completely familiar with you before you’ve ever opened your mouth. I have small talk all day, but to be completely honest with myself I have to admit that after talking with you the first day at breakfast i was literally hoping to run into you again at breakfast the next morning. For a 70 year old man you live your life like your a teenager. But your wisdom and insight on existing and conversing is something greater that i long for. Also, I’m sorry i switched it up on the food dynamic the second day, i like variety. Maybe if you read this one day you’ll understand. You’re Hawaiian shirt is bad ass. You and badasser (It’s a word if i say it is, i don’t care what you think). Thank you as well.

Thank you thank you thank you everyone. This is exactly what i need right now.

Goodnight.

From Elliot's Blog: SINGAMOREMOREMORE

Today was our last day in Singapore. After one last amazing breakfast, and hasty check out we made our way to the airport to head to Manilla. Here’s some pictures from yesterday. I’m bummed we didn’t get to go on the Flyer. Its kind of like the London Eye i guess. Worlds biggest ferris wheel. Valentines day night tickets for a private cart are going $4000 a pop. That’s a 35 minute ride of freedom. Don’t forget the complimentary champagne and chocolates. Bargains never tasted so good. There’s also some pics of the venue after soundcheck, thanks to everyone for making this show a party, it was our first arena ever and wont be forgotten easily. Singapore you’re my BFFFFXE or however the terminology goes.

From Elliot's Blog: BBQ'IN AND IT WON'T STOP SMOKIN'

The other night the whole tour went out to this Korean BBQ place. You sat on the floor on cushions with wholes in the ground for your legs and then they brought plates and plates and plates of this raw food (beef, ”chicken” aka cat, cow tongue, fish guts, some kind of shrimp animal that Joe believes is better raw) for you too cook yourself. While we all liked the idea at first i dont think anyone anticipated the amount smoke that would soon be in our eyes or how long things actually take to not swallow raw… Chef BoyarMike and Pete started a fire on one of the cookers and needless to say that wasnt an easy fix either. All in all in was an experience you could only have gotten in Japan. More reasons why this tour is a normal one on steroids and addicted to Zanex, Pepto, and Time travel.
